The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) scheme is a centrally sponsored initiative by the Government of India. Its objective is to support meritorious students from economically weaker sections, preventing dropouts and encouraging them to continue their secondary education.
Under this scheme, eligible students receive an annual scholarship of ₹12,000 to assist with their educational expenses. The NMMS examination is conducted by respective State Boards to select deserving candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
Students studying in government or aided schools under the Kerala Government are eligible to apply. However, students studying in residential schools or government-adopted institutions are not eligible for this scholarship.
