School Closing Day Circular 2025: Important Guidelines for Students and Teachers
As the 2024-25 academic year comes to a close, the Directorate of General Education (DGE) has issued an important circular regarding the final examination dates and school closing procedures. Schools will officially close for the mid-summer vacation on March 28, 2025.
Final Examination Dates
- Class 1 to 9 Annual Exams: Conclude on March 27, 2025
- SSLC Examinations: End on March 26, 2025
- Higher Secondary & VHSE Examinations: Conclude on March 29, 2025
Important Instructions for Schools
To ensure a smooth transition into the vacation period, the DGE has provided key guidelines:
✅ No Celebrations on Closing Day: Schools must avoid organizing celebrations or farewell parties on the last day of exams. This decision follows incidents from previous years where such events led to unwanted situations.
✅ Student Safety Measures: Teachers and school authorities must ensure discipline and closely monitor students after exams to prevent any disturbances.
✅ Parental Responsibility: Parents are encouraged to cooperate with school authorities in maintaining order during the final days of the academic year.
✅ Security Arrangements: Schools may seek police assistance if necessary to prevent any disruptions.
